ANXIETY AND PHOBIAS

Most people have one or more phobias, or anxiety about something.

It can be fear of frogs, spiders or other animals. It can be a fear of heights, open spaces or tight spaces. It could be the fear of having to give a speech.

When you feel threatened by something, the fear of it comes as a completely natural reaction to what is experienced as dangerous. Our mind needs to react quickly and instinctively, and for most people, that means running away from it. You probably got your phobia early in your life, in connection with an experience your mind considered to be dangerous - probably without being dangerous. But if the brain perceives the situation as being dangerous, then this is what is encoded in it and goes deep into the subconscious. A phobia is therefore an exaggerated and irrational fear of situations or things.

Having a phobia is not a disease. You have some anxiety symptoms that are bothersome or inappropriate, but this does not mean that you are eligible for an anxiety diagnosis. The symptoms can e.g. be clammy palms, tremors, dizziness, hot flushes or nausea. Sometimes the symptoms can become quite severe.

Having a phobia or an anxiety about something can make you try to avoid getting into situations where the anxiety symptoms appear. This can mean that you are rather limited in your life development and in the functions of daily life. Eg. it can prevent you from taking part in events, traveling or being in nature.

Below I present examples of some areas you can get help with:

PERFORMANCE and EXAM ANXIETY

Do you know that you need to be in focus. It could be that you have to present a presentation at work, present to the class or perhaps give a speech at a family party? It could also be that you are a competitive person who needs to perform well in a sport you play?

Even as you prepare, you can feel an uneasiness. The thought of having to be the one others listen to and look at scares you.

Thoughts fly around your head and the fear of failure makes your heart beat faster - what do they think of you, are they laughing at you inside or looking down on you?

Then comes the day when it must happen. The pulse is high, the palms are clammy, the hands are shaking, the upset stomach is bad and may cause nausea.

It just needs to get over it. Maybe you call in sick that day. Avoiding, making excuses for not implementing, is for some a solution to avoid the situation

Maybe you feel an uneasiness just reading along here?

Getting a little nervous is a completely normal feeling that should be present. But getting anxiety can be incredibly inhibiting for what you have to achieve. It can also have the consequence that you withdraw more and more from other people and become more and more sad and discouraged. That is why it makes sense to get help to get rid of the anxiety.

SOCIAL ANXIETY

You want to be with other people, can't figure it out. Maybe many people make you uneasy, awkward.. Maybe you get completely stuck when you have to be with others. It may occur in closed spaces, regardless of size. It can be in open spaces, at a concert or a sporting event. Maybe it's anxiety-provoking to be in the company of people you don't know.

Either way, it's never nice.

Often the social anxiety has arisen from a situation where you may have been bullied, humiliated as a child. But whatever the cause, living with social anxiety can be excruciating. And it can prevent you from taking an education or getting a job.

In addition, it can also be, for example:
FEAR OF AIRPLANE

DENT/FEAR OF THE DOCTOR

FEAR OF HEIGHTS

CLAUSTROPHOBIA (fear of tight spaces)

ARACHNOPHOBIA (fear of spiders)

ANGER

JEALOUSY

POOR SELF-ESTEEM/CONFIDENCE

PHYSICAL IMBALANCES

REGULAR HEADACHE
MIGRAINE

CHRONIC PAIN

BAD HABITS
OVEREATING

SUGAR CRAVINGS

NAIL BITING

SMOKING

Hypnosis can be the help for you!

You may have acquired your anxiety at an early stage in your life. Perhaps you have experienced that someone has laughed at you, or that you have failed in front of others. These experiences leave their mark. It can be years after the bad experience before the feeling of anxiety shows up, but suddenly it can arise.

Hypnotherapy may be the solution for you. In the subconscious, where these inappropriate patterns lie, we go in and release the blockages so that you can more easily deal with your anxiety no matter what the situation may be.
