Hypnotherapy

Do you know that you perform some actions that you do not really know why you are performing? Or experience some emotions that you do not really know where coming from? You may be scared when you see a frog, get nervous when you go into an elevator, feel physically ill when you have to present a task, or get upset when you have emptied a bowl of candy again._cc781905- 5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_

This is perfectly normal and we all have some patterns, reactions and imbalances that are not particularly attractive to ourselves. But for you, these feelings may be extra strong, so they prevent you from, for example, being with many people, believing in yourself, getting on a plane without fear or having the body you want.

Did you know that 90-95% of your actions take place in the subconscious?

And that these actions are based on our emotions, which are precisely in the subconscious? _Cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_

Did you also know that the vast majority of emotions you feel are sown in early childhood - yes, maybe before you were born?

The most direct way to work in the subconscious is through hypnosis. Here you will find yourself in a state where your attention is sharpened towards the suggestions that your hypnotist comes up with. Lights, sounds, scents around you glide in the background and you just listen to the hypnotist's voice that you follow…

You have definitely tried it many times before - that is, to be in hypnosis. But it is not certain that you are aware that it is actually a hypnotic state. Let me give some examples:

  • You sit and have to write on an assignment. You may have stalled a bit and your thoughts are flying away to something completely different. All of a sudden, you find yourself sitting and staring "blindly" into the air while dreaming away in another situation.

  • You drive a car and have to go to a certain place. You may hear music and sit in your thoughts. Suddenly you discover that you should have turned off a while ago.

  • You lie on the couch and watch a good movie or series. All of a sudden, you discover that a family member is standing next to you. You have neither seen nor heard the person approaching.

In these 3 situations above, you are in a milder state of hypnosis. And when you are aware of this, then you also know:

  • that one does not sleep in hypnosis (although the hypnotist may well use the word “sleep”)

  • that one can always get oneself out of hypnosis

  • that hypnosis is not dangerous

Furthermore, I would like to dispel a few more myths about hypnosis during therapy:

  • No, hypnosis is not a mysterious super power. It is a trance state where you yourself enter. and work with the trauma / unresolved events in which a feeling has arisen which later in your life can cause inappropriate actions.

  • No, it is not only  unintelligent and weak people who can be hypnotized. Virtually all normally functioning people can be hypnotized. But not everyone can get into the deepest hypnosis. However, we never work with people with mental disorders such as bipolar, schizophrenia and the like.

  • No, you do not want to say secrets you do not want to reveal.

  • No, you will not be manipulated. You will not be able to do anything that is against your will. You will accept the suggestions I make as they will help you in your process.

  • No, hypnosis is not a quick-fix, it is a process that can take shorter or longer.

You yourself have the key to the answer and the solution to your imbalances. During the hypnosis you will be guided to where the answer lies and you will receive the therapy here.

Under "Treatments", you can see which areas I am particularly concerned with. There will later be a link to each of them so you can read more.

What happens in hypnosis?

Unlike e.g. conversation therapy, with hypnotherapy we reach deep into the subconscious, where the problems lie. We work here with the causes rather than the symptoms. Therefore, we do not spend time working with our conscious, analytical mind, and therefore faster changes occur. Most courses extend over 3-5 sessions.

When we work in hypnosis, it is about working with the beliefs that you have stored in your subconscious. These have created some inappropriate action patterns, and it is these patterns that we work with in cooperation, by removing the negative emotions such as fear, guilt, shame, frustration or inadequacy and replacing them with positive ones._cc781905-5cde-3194- bb3b-136bad5cf58d_

Working in hypnosis is a collaboration between you and me. You just have to listen to my instructions and respond to the suggestions I make.

When we finish a session, you will find that you feel comfortable. In the days after the hypnosis, you will start to feel a difference.

What can hypnotherapy help with?

Hypnosis has been known in the world for several thousand years, although not in the form that we know today.  Just a few hundred years ago, hypnosis was used as amnesia when, for example, e.g. had to operate. Today, hypnosis is still used for pain relief - it could be migraines or chronic pain. But it is also very beneficial for a multitude of blockages in the subconscious mind.

You can be helped with e.g.

Anxiety

Phobias

Selfworth

Stress

Weight loss

Stop smoking

Fear of heights

Fear of flying

(Tooth) Fear of doctors
